Northern Lights Observatory

Fearghus will be one of 30 Irish and Icelandic cultural investigators – artists, social architects, ideas people, innovators, scientists, economists, philosophers  – who will meet in Townley Hall for a creative sleepover this weekend (25th-27th February).  The investigators come together primarily as people who care about the future and secondly as specialists in their field.

The sleepover is part of a programme of events called Northern Lights Observatory, organised by The ireland:iceland project.  The project, initiated by  Kathy Scott and Mari Kennedy, is prompted by the hunch that the shared and separate stories of two islands perched on the edge of Europe have something to offer one another in shaping a new future in the wake of economic, political and social crisis.

The Northern Lights Observatory will culminate with a Public Collaboratory in City Hall, Dublin from 1pm -5pm pn Sunday 27th February
